UNISON Bolton Trade Union Branch

UNISON is the UK’s largest union, serving more than 1.3 million members across the country. We represent full-time and part-time staff who provide public services, although they may be employed in both the public and private sectors. 

We negotiate better pay and conditions, help individuals and groups of employees experiencing problems at work and campaign for a better, fairer society. 

Bolton UNISON represents around 5000 members working in:

• Bolton Council
• support staff in Bolton schools, Bolton College, Sixth Form College and Bolton University 
• Bolton At Home and other housing associations
• Bolton Cares and private care companies
• Serco Leisure 
• plus a range of other local services and charitable & voluntary organisations.

The Branch represents all staff who work for Bolton Council: from refuse and recycling workers to housing officers, library staff to admin and business support workers, environmental health officers to social workers, and all school support workers.
